Chapter 9 Hidden Spark

“Cheetor!!!!” Optimus Prime shouted, as Cheetor came running towards them.  Optimus Prime stopped in his tracks, but Galvatron continued to charge ahead at full speed.

“AAAHHHHHHH,” Cheetor said as Galvatron’s attack hit him, which sent him flying into Optimus Prime.  The Autobot Leader caught Cheetor and held onto him before they hit the ground.

“Stupid kid!  You’re as bad as he is,” Galvatron snorted.  He turned and walked away. The Autobots and the rest of the Decepticons froze as the child lay there in Optimus Prime’s arms.  He looked dead to the universe.

“You killed the child, your own parts and circuits!” Vector Prime said

“He was weak, and I have no use for him now,” Galvatron retorted, as he and his soldiers left the planet through the warp gate.

“Optimus….forgive me,” Cheetor said weakly.  Optimus Prime knelt, and put Cheetor down on the ground.

“There’s nothing to forgive,” Optimus Prime said, holding back tears.

“That’s good,” Cheetor said, before he went offline.

“Cheetor, Cheetor c’mon, you never give up! Cheetor,” Optimus Prime said as he gently shook Cheetor’s body.

“Cheetor, you saved us,” Lori said.  The three humans began to cry.

“How could I have called him a traitor when he wasn’t?” Bud wailed, “I’ll never forgive myself!”

“Cheetor,” the Autobots said.

Optimus Prime got up.

“Optimus this data shows he had no spark to begin with,” Red Alert said sadly.

“No spark?  Then how could he was alive?” Optimus Prime asked.

“Looks like the energon did it.  I wasn’t so sure what it was when I repaired him at the beginning,” Red Alert answered.

“But he didn’t have to pay the price, even if he was a Decepticon,” Evac stated.

“He was no Decepticon was he, he was an Autobot, or at least half and half,” Landmine objected, and hit Evac over the head.

“Optimus--your chest is glowing.” Scattershot remarked.  Everyone looked at Optimus Primes chest, where the Matrix and his spark was stored.

“But why?” Jolt asked as Optimus Prime opened his chest plate and out came a spark full of life.

“A spark, but how did Optimus Prime get it?” Coby wondered.  He, Bud, and Lori stopped crying.

“I don’t know,” Optimus Prime replied.

The spark had moved towards the child’s body lying there lifeless on the ground.  It suddenly entered the child, as though it knew that was where it belonged.

“Did it work?” Arcee asked as Optimus Prime closed his chest plate. The child’s body glowed again, and went back to the light colour he had before he was reprogrammed by Galvatron and his evil army of Decepticons.

“Optimus!” Cheetor yelled as he jumped up and cheerfully tackled Optimus Prime to the ground, hugging him.

“Hey, take it easy, there,” Hot Shot said as Optimus got up.

“Stop being a spoil sport, ya slow poke,” Cheetor snapped.  He went over to Hot Shot and kicked him in the leg.

“Slow poke!  Why you little…” Hot Shot growled.

“Hey, no swearing in front of the kids,” Evac shouted, as Hot Shot chased Cheetor.

“You’re so slow,” Cheetor taunted, as he and Hot Shot transformed into their vehicle modes.

“I’m gonna get you, kid,” Hot Shot stated.
